No — not safely or permanently. Mold penetrates the paper facing and gypsum of drywall, and even after surface cleaning, spores remain embedded and will regrow when conditions permit. The only effective solution is removing the affected drywall entirely and replacing it with new board.

We handle the drywall removal and replacement. For small, isolated patches of mold on drywall — a few square feet — we can remove the affected board as part of our normal process. For more extensive mold growth that has reached the framing or insulation, we'll coordinate with or refer you to a certified mold remediation company first.
